Cafe bar

Our café can be found on the second floor, where it offers stunning views of the South Downs. In fair weather you can dine al fresco on our terraced balcony.

Towner café bar is a great meeting place, and perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing drink, lunch or slice of cake.

On the walls you’ll find mini exhibitions showcasing the work of local artists in our Café Projects – also available for purchase.

After any Towner talk or tour, why not continue the conversation in the café with our special Speakeasy offer? – tea or coffee and a slice of cake for £3.75.

Gift shop

Our shop, situated in the Welcome Area, is the place to find inspiring art, original products and unique gifts for all ages.

Our stock is strongly influenced by our collection and exhibitions – with highlights including our Eric Ravilious merchandise, art books, prints, educational toys and contemporary jewellery.

We also champion local artists, designers and makers with a range of products from some of the best craftspeople in Sussex.

Don’t forget that Towner membership entitles you to a discount on all retail purchases made in the gallery. You can join for as little as £30 per year (or £18 for a student).

A lot to carry?

A free cloakroom is available at the welcome desk. We will be pleased to store your coats, large bags and wet brollies! Buggies can be stored – please ask for assistance.
